Her expertise lies at the intersection of indigenous food systems governance and climate justice to facilitate resilient and just food systems transformation; drawing from over 20 years of experience in the Agriculture, Entrepreneurship and Technology arena.
Her vision is to promotes gender-responsive policies that drive innovation, inclusion and equity within the food systems governance and climate justice to facilitate resilient, just and peaceful world for all to thrive.
Asika is the CEO Maklumy Technology Services Limited and Executive Director of Village Farmers Initiative (VFI), She designs systems and structures guided by ecological principles that enables emergent opportunities and creates coherence in Nigeria’s agricultural landscape. She promotes gender-responsive policies that drives innovation, inclusion and equity within the agri-food systems and provide support for indigenous women and youth -led entrepreneurship for rural economy and infrastructural development.
Makuochukwu Okafor is a Farm Operations Director in Maklumy Technology Services Limited. As such, Makuo builds a strong in farm production, storage and processing of agricultural produce. She maintains team relationships, and provides leadership and supervision throughout production processes.
Chimnonyelum Okafor is the Program Director in Maklumy Technology Services Limited. She joined Maklumy in 2015, and leads the team to carry out programs to educate and train farmers on importance on food security in the country. She also develop and write articles, reports and other materials for publication—as well as providing editorial support for agricultural projects.
